Philosophy Tool KIt

The seven virtues of a highly reasonable person; passion for truth, critical thinking, judgment, intellectual honesty, intelectual humility, intellectual courage, interpretive charity.  These characteristic, make up what would be the perfect philosopher.  A passion for truth is a characteristic that should be shared by all thinkers because without it there would be no real time spent on achieving any answers to questions.  Honesty and Humility are also important because they show that, although truth is important, and pride in ones answer needs to be taken seriously, one can and will still find themselves on the incorrect side of the argument.  When this happens they need to be able to admit the fact that they were wrong and not be so head strong that a real answer cannot be reached.  My favorite characteristic however is intellectual courage because I believe that if you have no courage to believe in something other then what you are told then you will never really be able to achieve true pure thought.
